Phase 1 sets the foundation for each Kappa Leaguer’s journey by focusing on self-discovery, discipline, and personal growth. Centered around the core themes of Discipline, Assurance, Awareness, and Appearance, this phase challenges students to reflect on who they are, how they present themselves, and the values they want to stand on. Through open dialogue and guided sessions, Leaguers explore their strengths, aspirations, and the habits necessary for becoming purpose-driven young men.

Discussions also draw from meaningful community experiences—including reflections on the Judicial Complex Visit, Port of Palm Beach tour, Feeding the Homeless, and the Health Fair—each offering powerful lessons in justice, economic systems, service, and wellness. Leaguers will also prepare for the upcoming Coastal Cleanup, using it as a lens to understand their role in environmental responsibility and civic impact. By connecting personal identity to community engagement, Phase 1 encourages Leaguers to define purpose not just for themselves—but for how they show up in the world.
