Kappa Leaguers will take part in the 40th Annual Coastal Cleanup, joining thousands of volunteers across Broward County in preserving our local environment. As part of this countywide effort, participants will help remove litter and debris from shorelines.

Coastal Clean + Brotherhood Day

Kappa Leaguers showed up strong for the 40th Annual Coastal Cleanup at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park — the historic site that was once the only Colored Beach in Broward County before the 1961 wade-ins led to integration.

Service in Action – Side by side with Brothers from the Alumni Chapter, Leaguers walked the shoreline collecting trash, protecting wildlife, and honoring the park’s civil rights legacy.

Fishing Frenzy – After a morning of service, Leaguers cast their lines for a relaxing afternoon of fishing.

Beach + Kayak Mayhem – Swimming, splashing, and flipping each other over in kayaks turned the park into a playground.

Work Hard, Play Hard – This was more than a cleanup — it was a lesson in giving back, then celebrating the brotherhood we’re building every day.
