In partnership with the Pompano Beach Kappa League, Kappa Leaguers will assist in a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, distributing turkeys to families in underserved communities. This act of service reinforces the values of gratitude, compassion, and giving back during the holiday season.
Second Annual Community Turkey Giveaway
Kappa Leaguers went door to door delivering over 150 turkeys and canned goods to families in the Golden Acres community. Being out there in the neighborhood made it real, as they were able to see the impact of what they were doing firsthand.
They also learned that Golden Acres was built to provide housing for farmworkers in the Pompano Beach area through support from the United States Department of Agriculture. The experience showed how important it is to give back and how even small efforts can make a difference.
This was done in partnership with the Pompano Beach Kappa League.
