Phase VII - Mock Legislative Debate

What happens when you give young Black men the power to govern?

The 2025 Mock Legislative Session gave our Kappa Leaguers that chance — to sit in the seats of state lawmakers and debate real policies.

Over the course of the day, 50 Leaguers transformed into Senators, Party Leaders, and Committee Chairs. They learned how to think critically, lead with purpose, and collaborate under pressure.

Defending their districts, every motion, speech, and vote reflected growth in leadership, confidence, and civic understanding.

This experience is part of our Experimental and Applied Readiness Initiative (KLEAR) — where young men learn through real-world simulation, applied leadership, exposure, and practical experience.

Special thanks to our brothers and Leaguers from @miamikappaleague , @westpalmkappaleague , and @pbkappaleague for joining us in this transformative day of leadership and learning.

This wasn’t just an exercise — it was leadership in action.
